تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إعداد مقياس للذکاء الأجتماعى لدى الأطفال ذوى الأعاقة العقلية البسيطة . وقد ظهرت الحاجة لدي الباحثة لإعداد مقياس الذکاء الاجتماعي للأطفال ذوي الإعاقة العقلية البسيطة، نظراً لأن غالبية المقاييس التي إهتمت بالذکاء الاجتماعي تناولته بشکل عام من خلال علاقات الطفل خارج المنزل ولم تتناول علاقاته وتفاعلاته مع أسرته داخل المنزل, ومن ثم أعدت الباحثة هذه الدراسة التي ترکز علي قياس الذکاء الاجتماعي للأطفال ذوي الإعاقة العقلية البسيطة داخل الفصل الدراسي مع أقرانه ومعلميه وداخل أسرته مع والديه وإخوته.
